Sea of Galilee Circular

Geographic region: Lower Galilee

Every November, Israel's largest cycle tour around the Sea of Galilee (Kineret) is held. The route will be held this year in its 38th edition and this is undoubtedly a traditional event that attracts tens of thousands of cyclists, from little ones to large, experienced ones.

The route:

Route length: In the event there are five sets, so each cyclist can find himself the pace and number of kilometers that suit him the most, from the full 60 km route, a shorter 30 km route that begins at Almagor Junction and a family rout that starts at Ashdot Yaacov Ichud, running 12 km, in which children can also join.

There is also an option for off-road cyclists to take advantage of the status for mountain cycling in the region with a guide, but the main event is held on a road and the full lap is 60 km long, starting from Tzemach Junction.

Most of the route is flat, except for a few ascents and descents.

The ride is on a closed road with a police escort throughout.

The beautiful landscape that accompanies the cyclists along the way and the magic Sea of Galilee give this event its special charm. A short refreshment break along the way is recommended.
